Joshua Rios, a passionate abstract artist and resourceful curator, serves as the Chief Operating Officer, co-owner, and gallery manager of Art Scene West, a vibrant contemporary art gallery in San Diego’s Seaport Village (803 West Harbor Drive, behind the Hyatt towers). Originally an exhibiting artist at the gallery’s former Solana Beach location, Joshua took on leadership in 2024, relaunching Art Scene West on July 4, 2024, after a successful pop-up event, the Finest Art Showcase San Diego. With no prior business experience, his journey as a former substitute teacher and street-show artist fuels his creative approach, from curating diverse exhibitions to building gallery fixtures with repurposed wood.
