Jen Duran Original Art
A selection of original paintings, blending realism and abstraction through watercolor, acrylic, ink, and mixed media. My work explores self-discovery, freedom, transformation, and the beauty within chaos through expressive color, movement, and layered imagery.
Portfolio Statement
My original work is rooted in the space between realism and abstraction. I’m drawn to the contrast between carefully rendered imagery and the unpredictability of watercolor, ink, expressive marks, drips, and texture.
Across my work, figures, faces, animals, and elements of nature become a way to explore emotion, identity, freedom, transformation, and our relationship with ourselves. Each painting begins with its own idea or feeling, but I intentionally leave room for the viewer to bring their own experience to it.
This portfolio represents an overall feel of my body of work.
